LEGALON 70MG
Legalon is a liver-protective medication containing silymarin (extracted from milk thistle), used to treat toxic-metabolic liver damage, such as fatty liver, alcoholic hepatitis, and cirrhosis. It works by stabilizing cell membranes, eliminating free radicals, and stimulating liver regeneration. It is generally taken orally.
Active Ingredient: Silymarin.
Indications: Treatment of liver diseases caused by alcohol, hepatotoxic medications, steatosis (fatty liver), and cirrhosis.
Mechanism of Action: It acts as an antioxidant, membrane stabilizer, and stimulator of protein synthesis for liver tissue regeneration.
Common Dosage (150 mg): Usually 1 capsule 3 times a day after meals is recommended. Always consult your doctor for the appropriate dosage.
Side Effects: Rare, but may include stomach pain, diarrhea, or allergic reactions.
Precautions: Not recommended for children under 18 years of age and should be used under medical supervision.
