Diprospan
is an injectable corticosteroid medication containing betamethasone, a potent anti-inflammatory, antirheumatic, and antiallergic agent for the treatment of conditions that respond to corticosteroids, such as rheumatic and allergic diseases and certain chronic conditions. It is administered intramuscularly or intra-articularly. It must be administered by a physician and requires a prescription. Precautions must be taken in patients with certain infections, diabetes, renal or heart failure, among other conditions.
